Anchor Scripture
"From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded; and from the one who has been entrusted with much, much more will be asked."
— Luke 12:48
Core Kingdom Truth
Your platform isn't for personal gain—it's for Kingdom multiplication.
Devotional
Denise had worked fifteen years to get here. Vice President. Corner office. Direct line to the C-suite. She'd earned every bit of influence she had.
But recently, a question had been haunting her: What am I doing with this platform?
She looked at her calendar. Back-to-back meetings with senior leaders, board presentations, strategic decisions that affected hundreds of employees. She had access most people would never have. And she realized: she'd been treating her influence like a trophy instead of a trust.
Luke 12:48 hit her hard: "From everyone who has been given much, much will be demanded." God hadn't given her this platform for her own advancement. He'd given it to her to steward for Kingdom purposes.
She started asking different questions: Who am I investing in? Who am I opening doors for? Am I using my influence to serve myself, or to multiply impact in others?
She began meeting monthly with three younger women in the company—not because it advanced her career, but because she could give them access and wisdom they wouldn't get otherwise. She used her voice in leadership meetings to advocate for policies that honored people, not just profits. She started praying before board meetings: "God, this influence is Yours. Use it however You want."
Six months later, one of those young women told her: "You didn't just mentor me. You showed me what it looks like to lead for something bigger than yourself."
Your platform—whatever size it is—isn't about you. It's about who you can bring with you, what doors you can open for others, and how you can use your influence to point people toward God.
This Week's Practice
List three people you have influence over or access to. Ask: "How can I use my platform this week to serve them, open a door for them, or invest in their growth?" Then do it.
Closing Prayer
Father, every bit of influence I have comes from You. Help me steward it well—not for my own gain, but for Kingdom multiplication. Show me who to invest in, who to advocate for, and how to use my platform for Your glory.
In Jesus' name, Amen.
